Who We Are !

The Northern Star Mustang Club was created in 2020 by merging the Southwest Metro Mustang Club and the Upper Midwest Region Shelby American Auto Club. We are the Twin Cities chapter of the Mustang Club of America and consider ourselves the most active Mustang club in Minnesota!
​
We desire to charitably inspire our members by partnering with local charities. Our current partners include EveryMeal, Hennepin CTC, Dakota CTC, Wishes and More, Magnus Veterans, Apple Valley HS. Samaritans Purse, and the Marines' Toys for Tots program.

April NSMC Off-Season Activity

When: April 21, 2026
Private Pistol Bay for our group: 6 lanes – pistol calibers only
and 2 lanes in the Rifle Bay – if anyone wants to shoot a rifle or pistol at longer distance
Cost: $10 per person (max 3 people per lane) and includes a FREE target per shooter. Cost of ammunition is is not included.
Unlimited Firearm rentals (no charge) with purchase of range ammunition
TIME: 6 pm for range etiquette and run down with approximately 1 hour shooting time
Clean up and out the door by 8 pm
Join us for a beverage and a Tuesday Night ½ price burger at

Learn more about what makes membership in NSMC such an excellent experience and value.
Our club members' rides include samples of each generation of Mustangs and Shelbys and include unrestored, daily drivers, trailered, and race-inspired examples. We even have members who are proud owners of other collector cars and trucks, but we all have a love for all things Mustang!

The NSMC provides Mustang enthusiasts the structure to interact with others of like mind. What excites you? Cruising, social activities or maybe it's the pride of ownership. Or it could be speed and performance. Perhaps you would love to modify your ride. Or possibly it's just being associated with others to share your experiences. Regardless, the NSMC hopes to provide a place to explore and enjoy your Mustang journey. We are a year-round car club with activities happening EVERY MONTH! We have 7-9 cruises, during the driving months here in MN. We hold monthly club meetings to discuss club business and attend other enjoyable auto-related activities. We even have 4-5 off-season activities throughout the winter for our members! We have an awesome Holiday dinner in January or Febuary. See events for upcoming activities and explore our newsletter archive for examples of how you can get involved.​

Monthly Meetings
Please stop in and join us at any of our monthly meetings. We meet on the first Monday of the month at Davanni's Pizza & Hot Hoagies, 5124 Gus Young Ln, Edina.
We typically have over 30 club members in attendance; many come for dinner or a beverage between 5:30 to 6:30 PM, and then the meeting starts at 6:30 PM, and we wrap up by 8 PM or so.

Our dues-paying members support us. For your $20 each year, you not only get to connect with some great folks; you get access to our member-only communications as well as name tags, an NSMC window cling, access to real-time newsletters, exclusive web forum access, a parts discount, and service rate pricing on shop work from Apple Autos – our club's primary sponsor.
